Date line - Friday, May 24.   Victoria

Here I am in Victoria for my last day until September 7th or so. Just putting the finishing touches on apartment clean up; fresh sheets, vacuum, porcelain and stainless steel polished, food reduced to non-perishables - ("If they're non-perishable are they even edible?" crosses my mind; then "If you have to ask..."). Introducing my care-taking friend to the plants and fishes.

Yesterday in Delta I found out that there were a few wee things to look after on the 'as-yet-to-be-named' RV. Some involved crawling under the vehicle, some had us travelling out to Abbotsford to pick up specialized (read really old vehicle) parts. Charged the Garmin and 2 hours of uploads with updated maps. All my gear and the Ovation are stowed. New coffee press - important when travelling.

Then back to Victoria on a gorgeous day of travel on the Spirit of Vancouver Island. I crewed this vessel, and it's sister, The Spirit of British Columbia, on their initial runs in 1993 and 1994. They are lovely vessels and very passenger friendly.

Tomorrow morning it's back to Delta as a walk-on passenger. We'll have a few more odds and sods to complete on the RV and then off and running.

...still don't have a name for the wee beasty...hmmmm....
